Quin Tango The George Washington University Hospital Women’s
Board, in cooperation with the George Washington University
Medical Center, is sponsoring a fundraising tango concert featuring
"QuinTango" a quintet of two violins, a cello, a bass
and a piano, dedicated to the musical performance of tango.
Dancers will exhibit their colorful interpretations of the music.
The concert will benefit the Latin American Youth Center beginning
at 6:30 p.m. at the Dorothy Betts Marvin Theater, 800 21st Street
NW, Washington, DC. Tickets for this fundraising event are available

2005 Leukemia Ball The National Capital Area Chapter of the

Rhapsody in Red
The Alexandria Chapter of the American Red Cross will hold its
first gala fundraiser in the lobby of Terminal A, the original
1941 airport terminal at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
An art deco theme will reflect the classic design of the terminal
building and both the music and décor will symbolize
the glittering pre-war era when Cole Porter, Glenn Miller and
the fabulous Dorsey brothers dominated pop-culture. A cocktail
reception and dinner will be followed by a live auction of "red-hot"

"Parisian Nights" The Decade Society will host its
26th annual charity ball from 9 pm to 1 am at The Decatur House,
located at 748 Jackson Place NW (H & 16th Street) in Washington,
DC. This year’s theme is "Parisian Nights" and
the selected charity is Fair Chance. The black tie affair will
include live music, a silent auction, raffle, open bar, and
cocktail buffet. Guests can wander through the silent auction

The American Task Force for Lebanon annual Gala Awards Dinner
will be held in The Ritz-Carlton Hotel to honor three distinguished
Lebanese-Americans — Paul Anka, singer-songwriter; Ray
LaHood, U.S. Representative from Illinois; and pollster John
Zogby, President and CEO of Zogby International. Paul Anka will
entertain guests with a performance of song and music from his
well-known repertoire. Proceeds from the evening will benefit
ongoing projects that raise awareness of the American public
and government, to the social, economic, political, cultural
